Directions and Parking

Lightbox Film Center is located at 401 S. Broad Street, inside Gershman Hall at University of the Arts. Screenings are currently held inside the Elaine C. Levitt Auditorium.

Lightbox is a short distance from Philadelphia City Hall and is accessible by foot, bike, car and public transportation. A bike rack is located outside of Gershman Hall. Several parking garages are located on Broad Street, and limited two-hour street parking can be found in the surrounding neighborhood.

Get to Lightbox using SEPTA

Subway: Lightbox is located just one block north of the Broad Street Line Subway’s Lombard-South Station. Guests traveling on the Market-Frankford line and other trolley routes can make the free transfer to the Broad Street Line at 15th Street Station.

Regional Rail: All of SEPTA’s Regional Rail lines stop at Suburban Station. Riders can opt to transfer to the Broad Street Line Subway or take an approximately 15-minute walk to Lightbox.

Bus: SEPTA bus routes 4, 27 and 32 operate along Broad Street. All three routes are handicapped accessible.

From points north, east and west: From I-76 or I-95, take I-676 and use the Broad Street (Central Philadelphia) exit. Follow Broad Street around Philadelphia City Hall. Lightbox is located on the northeast corner of Broad and Pine streets.

From points south: Take I-95 and use exit 17 (Broad Street, Pattison Avenue). Drive north on Broad Street three miles. Lightbox is located on the northeast corner of Broad and Pine streets.

From the Ben Franklin Bridge: After exiting the bridge, travel south on 8th Street to Lombard Street. Travel west to Broad Street. Lightbox is located on the northeast corner of Broad and Pine streets.

From the Walt Whitman Bridge: After exiting the bridge, use the Broad Street exit. Drive north on broad for approximately three miles. Lightbox is located on the northeast corner of Broad and Pine streets.
